In the Spring of 2012 I participated in a group on the Missouri Star Quilt Company Forum.  We each made 27 Jacob's Ladder blocks, sent them in to the group leader along with a postage paid envelope addressed back to ourselves.  Shortly, we each received back 27 quilt blocks from all over the world!  I put my blocks together without sashing and quilted it some time ago. Even in the heat of the humid NC summer, I often sit under the quilt in the evenings when Hubs is comfy in the A/C!!! Among the blocks are two from my friend, Klasien in The Netherlands, as well as a block from Jim's Queenie, who I met at Paducah last year. Even a block from a neighboring North Carolinian in Louisburg..  I love the quilt, it stays on the back of my vintage goose-neck rocker (I think my dad bought two of them when he returned from WWII). It keeps me warm in more ways than one. AND, since we always are first out to point out our mistakes (design elements?), the backing is a directional fabric and the fairies are going both ways!!! Careful when you cut that backing in half next time.

Like most blocks, the placement of the Jacob's Ladder blocks creates many different quilts.
